The market and industry as a whole continues to seek Automatic Identification Technology (AIT), specifically RFID technology. We are seeing adoption in the federal marketplace, health care industries, and larger international companies where it is a requirement for real time asset visibility.

StrongTech systems have been selected, procured, and integrated by a number of high profile clients and facilities responsible for the management and security of various high value assets. As a result the  software is tested and validated by some major industry clients!

StrongTech has worked with the USMC to create an RFID module that has been integrated with government software to manage all the armed forces weapons. StrongTech software has been installed at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives largest Armory in the nation as well as serving as the official property book for the Department of Defenses’ White Sands Missile range. Other notable customers are the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Iron Mountain.

2. Weapons Management
Dept. of Defense / State and Local Law Enforcement

Market Problem: DoD bases and local law enforcement waste valuable hours manually checking weapons in and out of weapons storage. Agents and officers manage weapon and gear maintenance and track compliance and documentation associated with inventory in a decentralized manner, leading to inconsistent information for each weapon.

Solution: Application that inputs, manages and locates weapons and gear information for DoD and Law Enforcement. Solution automates inefficient manual weapons issuing processes, but also provides a complete service history for each weapon, audit reports for supervisors, prevents issue of weapons to un-authorized officers and soldiers, and improves weapon security. Solution uses integrated RFID technology to automatically record weapons and gear in-and-out of secure storage.

Customer Case Study: The Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) uses the StrongTech Weapons management system in its largest armory in Martinsburg, West Virginia to manage the issuance and return of all its weapons. The StrongTech system eliminated 160 man hours a month in paperwork, and eliminate the need to perform an annual physical inventory as all weapons are now accounted for 24/7/365.

3. Healthcare Application
Healthcare Institutions / Medical Centers/ Doctors Offices

Market Problem: Equipment and patient records are difficult to find and manage as they move around the medical centers.

Solution: Application was co-designed with UPMC staff to input, store, manage and report on patient records and healthcare assets. Solution integrates an automated RFID tracking solution to deliver a comprehensive asset management platform for increase the number of patient visits per day and manage maintenance, work orders, and financial reporting on all health care assets.

Customer Case Study: UPMC has 33 cancer centers that see an average of 10,000 patients. Patient charts and medical gear to serve these patients could be located in any one of 60+ rooms at each facility. With the StrongTech system the facilities are able to service many more patients as the staff is more productive. The primary area for cost savings is the reduction in the number of staff needed to locate charts per site.
